Guest guest
nice to have you back Joanne. Tina I'm back Hi guys! Well, my sister left today and we had a nice visit. We did so much walking the past three days that my legs still hurt! Yesterday we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge! A lot of it was uphill too, but the view was great! I managed to stay on my eating plan while she was here, so I'm happy about that. Actually not eating sugar really helps with impulse control and cravings! Today after church we had a pizza/birthday party for about 5 people and I had one slice of veggie pizza and no soda and no cake. My weight has stayed the same since last week, but I'm hoping for a drop any day now! I missed you guys....... you were actually so busy today I had to catch up reading on the digest! Congratulations to all the losers! Joanne

Guest guest
WELCOMES GENA!!!! Hope you can figure this out. I have mine so that it comes to my inbox. Sounds like you worked hard to get down to where you are now...that is great You can do it. Jacy (in alaska also) -- I'm back Hello! I'm back I think??? I'm trying to get posted but have yet to " see " my posts or replies??? I'll get the hang of this " group " format yet. As I said, I'm back. I was cofounder when it was still a club, then my computer crapped out on me and I was unable to get on line. I think March was the last time I posted. So sorry for my absence. I missed everyone sooooo much! I had gotten down to 195 for about 2 weeks (from 284) and then had a set back in August when I got sick and could not workout for 3 weeks. For a time I was up to 205! i am back down to 200 and hoping to get things rolling again. Since my daughter went back to school I am able to get back on my routine and that is helping. Well hopefully this message will post. Gena

Guest guest
Jacy, My fellow Alaskan! Thank you. I think I have it figured out in e-mail but what gets me is when I went to message help it said you can post in e-mail or form the room by clicking " post " . well I don't see post any where??! Oh well, atleast I figured it out through mail now, lol. I apologize about the repeat stuff while I was figuring this out. Thanks, on the weight loss. well let's put it this way, it sure comes off alot faster when you have alot more to lose! But now I have no excuses. I have just been slacking lately. Missing too many days on the treadmill and having a " treat " of booze and a bit too much eating out, ect..... So anyway, I have been stuck around 200 for about 3 months. Well I did gain a few in August but have lost most of that now just need to get on track to lose the next 10! I actually want to lose atleast 30 more but just take it 10 at a time. Guest guest
ine!!!!! It's great to see you!!! I missed everybody soo much! I'm soo glad you are still around! How are you? What's new with you? I'm trying to get back on my routine. Just had hubby home for 3 days sick and that ofcourse threw me out of sync, grrrr! He is fine now. Had a bad reaction to some food. It was awful, this ugly, nasty rash all over his body! Anyway.... I'm doing better than I was in August. I just can't wait to get to 190!!! Guest guest
Good Evening Gena, I am so excited to hear from you so quickly. At the present time Iam at 185 my lowest weight in over 18 years since my husband knew me. But it seems like I have a phobia about getting below 185...everytime I get down to 185 I sabatoge (definitely not spelled right) and I go up a few lbs nothing serious. I have set my goal weight as 150- 155...I am getting into size 18 or XL and I am really pleased. I haven't been watching my calories ...but have been keeping a food journal since the 5th of June and have been trying to keep my fat grams between 20 and 40 grams per day...and walking every morning...but with Hunting season fast approaching I started the exercise bike (instead of using it as a clothes rack). I have been using a pedometer and trying to get 10,000 steps each day. I have been listening alot to Dr. Phil and trying to develope a set of stratedgies to find out the reasons that I have been overweight since childhood. I still can't believe that you are back after a year. I know that when you first were off-line...I felt as though I had lost a sister. So glad to have you back and it was nice to see the posting my Laurie & also. I haven't seen anything by Crystal Heart or Geula in ages. I am also trying to follow FlyLady and she's made a big difference in my life also. My Paternal Grandmother had 2 strokes in April and she went into a Nursing Home in July...it was a very difficult decision but one that I am glad that we made (my Mom and Dad). Thanks for listening, ine PS Glad that your husband is feeling better. > >> Hello! > >> I'm back I think??? I'm trying to get posted but have yet to " see " > > my > >> posts or replies??? Guest guest
ine, Oh thank you sweetie! I missed you too. I felt terrible about dropping off the face of earth like that. I wanted to try getting on line some place else but it just never worked out. You have done wonderful!!! I'm proud of you! I can actually fit into some 14s now!!! Never thought I'd see that again! But mostly 16-18s. I like loose fitting, comfy things. I don't know what my goal weight is any more. my doc says only about 30 more. I'm like I'm only 5'3 " and 200, how can 170 be low enough???!!! He says I'm very muscular. Whatever, I just want my belly gone! I think I did the same thing! Sabotage (right spelling, I looked it up), fear of success I guess. I got down to 195 and then just blew it all summer. Starting allowing myself too many treats and missing too many days on the tread. I'm getting back on track now though. Having my buddies back will definitely help! I love that Dr. phil! He is soo awesome! He really makes sense and says it like it is. I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. I know that is hard. I'm sure she knows you all love her and have her best interest at heart. Speaking of Geula....... that is who I am IMing with as I type this! She is doing well. I told her she is missed and that the group would love to hear form her. she is going to try but her computer freezes up. We'll see. well I better finish up here and get on the tread. You take care. It is great to back in touch. I missed you! GB HUGS, Gena > Good Evening Gena, > I am so excited to hear from you so quickly. Guest guest
Well I am so glad you figured it out!! that is great. Where again in alaska are you and have you had any snow yet. I am on prince of wales island outside of Ketchikan. I know what you mean about being stuck on a wieght. I am stuck at 168. the scale did say 167 this morning but my weigh in is sunday (tomorrow) so it will probably go back to 168....lol. Again glad you figured it out somewhat anyways. Jacy -- Re: I'm back Jacy, My fellow Alaskan! Guest guest
Arlene, Welcome back. I just returned after being gone a year. Computer died and couldn't get on line. Finally got a new one last week, yeah! How much had you lost? I was 284 Oct 2000 and am now 200. I was 195 for about 2 weeks but had a set back this summer. Got up to 205 and now 200. Grrrr! I know what you mean about how stubborn it can be. Like you said, just one day at a time. We can do this! Gena > Well, it has been a long time since I posted. Last time I did I was > at 173 lbs. Guest guest
Hey Ang Yeah I did. email kept coming back. Not to mention I never saw you on the Messenger any longer. Glad to hear you are still milling about this list. Is Mark still here? I haven't seen his name yet. Arlene > > Well, it has been a long time since I posted. Last time I did I > was > > at 173 lbs. Guest guest
Gena I started at 198 and am presently 175. I got down all the way to 173 before I got up to 177. I kept gaining and losing the same 5 lbs since August and it sure was frustrating. My biggest problem was that I had trouble getting to the gym and doing my exercises. I am now back on track and will stay that way. Arlene 198/175/150 > > > Well, it has been a long time since I posted. Last time I did I was > > at 173 lbs. Guest guest
Arlene, That is so frustrating! I know I have been doing the same thing, going between 200-205. Getting back regular at the gym will definitely help. I know that was my problem this summer, missing too many days. I'm really trying to get regular again. I was really bad last week, didn't even do weights or crunches! Got the new computer, was getting it set up and had hubby home for 3 days sick. Can never stick to routine when they are around, lol! Then bowling the next day. Friday I had no excuse, was just on here too long. Bad girl, I know. But now I have worked out Sat, Sun and Mon and am going to today so I'm redeeming myself. :-) You started at 198? I can't wait to get back in the 190s! Then out of them! Take care, Gena > Gena > > I started at 198 and am presently 175. I got down all the way to 173 > before I got up to 177.
