Guest guest
Thanks for sharing the written report of your ultrasound. When you said you're going to try to get more information from the hospital, who exactly would you call? I don't mean a specific name, but I mean what personnel position would you ask for? I wouldn't begin to know who to call. I really wish I could have known more BEFORE I had that appointment with the surgeon so that I would have had some idea of what I was looking at and some idea of what questions to ask. But it isn't like I can just call the surgeon and say " hey doc, do you have a couple minutes to talk to me about these films again? " I guess it isn't really as much of an issue for me as it is for those of you who seem to know that you have calcified stones and are having continuing problems. I've never had the severe problems that some of you write about. My gallbladder episodes never lasted more than 15-30 minutes at the very longest. They were usually closer to 15 or even a little shorter. And I've had fewer than a dozen in total. Most of those were back when this all started (the latter part of October) and have been fewer and farther in between. So it isn't like there's a serious problem that I need addressed - I just would like to know someone who knows films who could take some time to talk this through and tell me what they see. I just had a thought......there are doctors who come to the retirement community where I work and see people in the outpatient office. I don't know any of them personally, but maybe if I ask they would be willing to look them over with me! I'll check that out today! In the meantime, I would be interested to know who you're planning to contact at the hospital. That might be a lead I can take as well. Guest guest
Honestly I don't think the doctor would be of any help in my case at least, because she just relies on the report sent to her by the hospital. I was going to start by calling the hospital, then letting them direct me. I am pretty sure they will just say they have to contact the doctor with the info or will say that I should have the doctor call them...but I'll let you know. I, too, have not had the extremely painful symptoms people describe on here, more just digestive problems, nausea, pressure feeling under breastbone and discomfort under right ribs. Since cutting out fat haven't had any trouble at all, but do take my chamomile tea w/ juice of a lemon and 1-2 tablespoons of oil in it first thing most mornings just to keep things moving and to get the important oils into my body. I notice that a few hours after, I get that tightness I was describing, and sometimes a little nauseous, then I put heat on for a bit until things move along, but that doesn't happen every time I take the oil/tea/lemon etc. Take care, claudia ----- Original Message ----- From: Rachd1961@... gallstones Sent: Friday, February 22, 2002 7:26 AM Subject: ultrasound report Thanks for sharing the written report of your ultrasound.
