Hello! Thank you so much for the Happy Anniversary message. I hope you don't mind me replying to you here

on the Asherman's forum...I have some wierd " glitch " on my email system and can't seem to send email to AOL

accounts without something going wrong!

Our trip was lovely...we caught the fall colors at their absolute peak....lots of oranges and reds and vibrant yellows.

Took a walk in the woods yesterday and collected pine cones and acorns and hiked around. Took a walk down the

beach near Lake Michigan which was lovely....ate a great anniversary dinner on Saturday night and went for a long

moonlit walk....very relaxing and restorative.

As for LAP recovery. I had a LAP separate from a HYST so I can't really comment on recovery from a joint LAP/HYST.

My LAP recovery was very short....only a day or two of bloating and slight shoulder pain from the gas they use to distend

your abdomen. My incissions were small enough that I only needed a regular band-aid to cover them and I was back up

and around to my full activities (except lifting heavy things) within 48 hours. Recovery from my lysis procedure was a little

longer. I was crampy and passing clots and such for a good 3 days...and then very uncomfortable for at least another 2

days. I would say it was about 5 or 6 days before I really started to feel " myself " again after that. So, I would guestimate

that somewhere between 5-7 days after a LAP/HYST you would be feeling back to semi- " normal " . Also depends on what

barrier (if any) you will have. A balloon? An IUD?

When is your surgery scheduled for - I can't remember!

Gwen
