Guest guest
Beth, Thanks so much for the link! I am going on it right now and I am going to print it out. I am so happy to find some information about this surgery. Thanks so much. I will let you know how everything goes! > http://www.thetrocar.com/journal/creports/creport_002/creport_002.shtm l > > Hi , > > Good luck with your surgery. Guest guest
<< I read and reread your e-mail and am wondering if I'm missing something. It seems as if you may have become pregnant again. Is that true? I hope so. If so, you have my congratulations. :-) >> Oh, sorry to mislead. Not pregnant yet...that I know of

Guest guest
Now, hold on just a sec.... "Thin Within" isn't a "diet" book! LOL... At least, not IMHO! ;o) But, I know what you mean... I've read tons of "weight loss" books, too.... - Dr. Phil's "The Ultimate Weight Solution" - "The G.I. Diet" - Bob Greene & Oprah's book (title?) - "Overcoming Overeating" - "First Place" by Carole - "Weigh Down" by Gwen Shamblin - etc.... ....and the only one that's EVER worked, and made TOTAL sense to me, is "THIN WITHIN" (http://tinyurl.com/cg8zg ). Jenn <>< -----Original Message----- I've never been in on the start of anything. I think I'm going to have to get out of some of these groups but I enjoy reading them. I have read hundreds of diet books, The Rules of Normal Eating, Thin Within, Diets Don't Work, Mindful Eating, Weigh Down Diet, Overcoming Overeating, Naturally Thin by Eating More, to name a few. I have been made fun of many times for this habit! I am a 58 yr old mother of 10 with a chronic disease, saroiodsis, for which I take prednisone. That increases appetite so bad that I once called Judy Halliday to ask her advice. She was very nice. There is only one really good book that I have found on prednisone use and I can't remember the name of it right now. That lasy put herself on a strict diet. She is a famous flutist. Last summer I lost 30 lb due to illness and looked good for the first time in years. Prednisone took care of that even though I was walking 5 mi a day! I love to eat. What else can I say........oh, I am 50lb overweight. http://mizbooksreads.blogspot.com http://intuitive-eating.blogspot.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/IntuitiveEating_Support * NEVER DIET AGAIN! *

Guest guest
Yep, I believe that's it! :-) And I agree with your assessment of them. I believe in her basic principals but am really cautious about the rest. > Weigh Down Diet and her 2nd (don't remember the name now) ** " Rise Again " (or something to that effect) ;o)Jenn<>< -- Rhonda DuellAssistant County LibrarianPotter-Tioga Library System502 Park Ave.Coudersport, PA 16915phone: (814)274-7422fax: (814)274-9137email: rduell@...www.pottertiogalibrary.org
Guest guest
I read WD back in 1997 and even briefly belonged to the forum on Gwen's site when it was still free. Then as the news reports started coming out about what was really going on behind scenes I drifted over into the dieting camp for many years. I believe I still have both of her books on my shelf at home. I wanted to invite you, and anyone else that might be interested, to a forum site that I set up quickly yesterday. It's http://intuitiveeating.myfreeforum.org/ There are just the very bare bones there at the moment as you can see. I did this before coming across your blog. Rhonda, I started out, last July, reading WD (as I'm sure you've read on my blog), and that's where I heard about Intuitive Eating. But, just after I got the second book, Rise Above, via a fellow Bookcrosser ( http://www.bookcrossing.com/friend/BookCafe ), I was lead to a website all about the nasty side of Gwen Shamblin & her cultish " church " , Remnant Fellowship. Then I found Thin Within (praise God!). Luckily, I put the Rise Above book away (I won't pass it on, but I can't bring myself to burn/throw out a book --even a cultish one), and I moved on to better ways to get the weight off, and God blessed me with taking my first 25 lbs off by December 4, 2005! ) Just 6 months, and I'd reached my first goal --a feat that I'd tried for 7 years to accomplish by using other programs (or, at least *trying*!) LOL Praise God for Intuitive Eating! (and great friends!) ) Jenn <>< -----Original Message----- Yep, I believe that's it! :-) And I agree with your assessment of them.
