Looking for others with mets in the chest area

I would like to talk to others with regional mets in the chest area. After

seven years of clean I-131 scans, I recently had a PET scan that shows two hot

spots, one in the neck and one in the chest, above the heart, around the

esophagus and windpipe. I am having an MRI tomorrow so we can learn more about

the location and size before we make any treatment decisions. This is my first

recurrence, and I thought it would be reassuring to hear from others with

recurrences, especially with recurrences that had showed up in the chest area.

I am especially interested in knowing you had any additional mets show up in the

scan following the RAI treatment. You can reply to the group, or to me

TT in Aug. 94, 1.8 cm pap. carcinoma, 2 out of 3 nodes positive, 150 mc RAI in

Sept. 94, several clean scans since, Tg hovering around 2 but unreliable b/c of

high TgAb counts; PET scan with hot spots in Dec. 01.
