Guest guest
I read about a trial that was being done at ucla a few years ago. They were giving women 8 mg of estriol per day. Estriol is the same type of estrogen that is released from the placenta in a pregnant woman,(I am sure we all know how pregnant women with ms have a drop in symptoms during pregnancy and 8 mg is about the same level as a woman that is about 8 months into her pregnancy)I even saw a neurologist at ucla about it. Well, I went to my gyno. with all the info I had about the good results from the trial and I was able to get get her to prescribe the estriol to me. I have to get it thru a compound pharmacy which hasn't been a problem. I had a huge drop in symptoms within a week. I still have some of my symptoms but all the tingling and burning went away and I don't think I have had any relapses while taking it. If you search Estriol online you will see a bunch of articles re ms and estriol. Hope that helps
