Guest guest
> GB attacks in the past few months (about one a month) have each >been shortly before my period Here are a few of my thoughts on what may be the cause for this: 1) The change in hormones that women experience prior to their menstrual period often cause water retention. This will in turn cause bloating which may then cause various organs to press onto one another. The " crowded organs " may cause pain or poor functioning of the gallbladder/liver/supporting organs. 2) Change in hormones also effect women who may have endometriosis. Endometrial implants are more active in the period just prior to menstruation. These implants may be found in various parts of the body. Any implants on the liver, gallbladder or other supporting organs would be negatively effected, thus creating problems in the daily functioning of these organs. Possibly, to help to ease symptoms related to periods, it would be useful to follow a diet which assists in PMS for a week (or 2) prior to when period is expected. ~Suzanne
