All the Way Around the Waist

Hi everyone!

Guess what happened to me today? My eight year old daughter, , was

able to hug me ALL THE WAY AROUND THE WAIST for the first time in her life

!! You should have seen her face. You should have seen MY face! Then my

son, , age 11 tried it and said " Mom...you're so skinny! "

Oh, this is precious...as I am typing is handing me the

telephone...it's my husband and she's telling him that she hugged me all the

way around the waist.

This milestone comes at such a good time. I'm one month post-op and have

been on a plateau for a week. I've been going crazy thinking that I'll be

the ONE person not to lose significant weight after distal RNY. I've been

reading about plateaus and don't remember anyone reporting one so early as

one month.

Anyway, thanks for letting me jump up and down and feel HAPPY!

PS> loved the story about the white water rafting from Kim (i THINK it was

kim!!)
