Guest guest
Dear , I was horrified to read about your experience....I think that is everyone's worst nightmare. The only suggestion that I can bring up is that maybe you should find an advocacy group or lawyer that can help you stand your ground with these folks. In our area, we have an advocacy board that is run by the state that polices situations just as these. I would feel that my rights as a parent had been trampled on. I would think that there was some gross negligence involved by the school who did not read up on Tanner and his situation more fully. I, too, would be tempted to pull my child out immediately and home school them, if not then I would call a big pow-wow and have documentation and people at the meeting that can explain to the school what is going on with Tanner. I would then make sure that a behavioral plan is drawn up so everyone knows exactly how things will be handled in the future and that you and your husband will be notified immediately if there any problems. Good luck and I am so sorry that you are going through this! Jeane
