(Or do most people with his symptoms need it?) I don't really know how to even get started with investigating chelation! > Dear Janice, The recommended test is a hair toxic & essential elements test, through Doctors Data (that is a lab). If you have a cooperative doc he/she can order this for you. If not you can get it done through DLS. (Go to the " messages " for this list, and search for " DLS " . In the results, look for a post from me with a subject like " how to get a hair test w/o a doctor " . If for some reason you don't find it, ask and I'll happily re-post this info for you.) This test will cost you about $40 to $80. IMPORTANT: see the " counting rules " /files/Counting%2BRules for how to deal with the results. You are NOT going to just look at the reading for mercury (that would be too simple!) Read above file for more info. This hair test is a very good place to start. You can read more about things while you wait for the results, and once you have results, I'd guess that will make it easier to focus on chelation for your own specific case. best, Moria
