Dear everyone,

I have had three phone calls this week plus a face to face experience re body

piercing (all the rage with the teenagers in Australia at present!)

The face to face one was with a customer in my shop yesterday. This 17 year old

boy (whom I had presumed had more sense, but nevermind) was commenting that he

had his tongue pierced the day before (why would someone do that to their

tongue!!) and that his mouth was " tingling'. I asked him if he had any amalgam

fillings in his head creating a metal reaction and he answered " yes " . You can

imagine how I " tore into him " for the next 10 minutes. It was rally hard not to

swear to this kid.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you or your children have thought of the

implications of body piercing (that includes those cute little earings some

people pop into the ears of their cute little baby girls) and a compromised

immune system. Not to mention these " things " are often put centimetres from

ones' brain!

I am VERY metal and electro-magnetic sensitive. I drive my family NUTS by

walking in front of the TV and making it go static when they are watching a good

program etc. I make the " zapper " for the car die on a regular basis (our car

dealer calls me that crazy woman).

PS Thanks for the kind posts about my living with " all this " . I think I cope

very well, with a lot of help from my sense of humour, positive outlook and

heaps of angels and friends.

Take care! Thiele
