Guest guest
Good Morning Group!! I had a bad couple of days food-wise (2,370 calories one day, then 2122 calories the next). I don't really know what happened ~ I just got this overwhelming compulsion to eat! I just couldn't seem to get full. But, I decided that I had to stay accountable and weighed in this morning. Despite the cheeseburger, fries, berry cobbler (and a couple of other things!) I still managed to keep my BG's in very good shape AND lose 2.5 pounds!! I'm at 259 ~ yippee! I broke out of the 260's!!! My total weight lost is now at 166 pounds. Hugs, ~B
Guest guest
Thanks Donna, for everything. I didn't know that about the blood sugar dropping .. I'll have to pay special attention to that. It's great you were able to give me that head's up! I'll probably have to add some carbs to each meal. I'm sure that I'll need a whole lot of hand holding! I didn't see your post to that group yet, I put myself on dialy digest because of the volume and sitll haven't received anything. I have a question though .. do I download that meter now or wait until I've actually quit? ~B Babette, I already saw your post to the smoking group! I replied to it there, and I'll reply to it here!! I am SO proud of you!!! Be ready to watch your blood sugar....nicotine withdrawl can make your blood sugar drop....most of the physical symptoms from quitting are related to low blood sugar. I will hold your hand and drag you through it! It's hard, but believe me, after you do it, you will know there is nothing you can't do!! Guest guest
Babette! Congrats on the 2.5 pound loss in spite of eating more than you should've. And congrats on being down in the 50's! Wow! What are BG's? Do you count your calories everyday? Do you have a special book that lists the calories? I used to know what the formula was to calculate how many calories we need to maintain or lose weight based on our current weight. Can you give me that formula? Thanks, and keep up the good work! Also, I know what you mean about being EXTRA hungry sometimes for no apparent reason.......it's weird, but sometimes your body just can't seem to get full! -Stix
Guest guest
Hi Stix, thanks very much. BG is for blood glucose levels .. I'm a type 2 diabetic. Yes, I count calories as well as carbs, protein, and fats. I use the diabetic exchanges ... and of course I read all the labels! For other things .. I used fitday.com to find out the calories and the rest. I don't know that formula, sorry. I know I've seen it online ... but, can't help you further. Hugs,Babette Victory belongs to the most persevering. Babette! Congrats on the 2.5 pound loss in spite of eating more than you should've. And congrats on being down in the 50's! Wow!What are BG's?
