Guest guest
Hi Christy, My heart goes out to you. You, like me, are trying everything and it seems like we are only getting worse. I just know that some day we have to get better. But, sometimes I think we have to get worse before better. It is so hard to be in even more pain but it does make sense that if it is a nerve that is trapped by getting you in line would help, despite the initial pain. You are in my prayers. Guest guest
Ted- I have not had any test to prove or disprove pudendal neuralgia. The nurse practioner I saw made the diagnosis based on symptoms and exam. She did a thorough musclular exam and feels that my pudendal nerve is entraped in muscles. My dad is an MD, and he is in the process of scheduling an MRI for me. My main symtpom is burning. I have widespread vulvar burning as well as burning down the backs of my legs and the soles of my feet. My vulvar burning feels like a cross between a chemical burn and a sunburn and the backs of my legs feels exactly like a sunburn. I do not have numbness or tingling. I've been tested for diabetes as I have lost a lot of weight recently, and it was negative. For what it's worth, I have scoliosis in my lumbar spine and IBS. Are you in the healthcare field? Thanks for responding. I really am at my wit's end and very depressed. Christy
Guest guest
Ted- I do have muscle weakness in my lower abdomen as well as some of my upper legs. I have pain around my hips too from tight muscles caused by trying to guard the area. Christy
