Guest guest
Bob, your email is fantastic. What a great story!! SOOO glad you discovered Armour. If ONLY the rest of the several million folks out there on Synthroid/Levoxyl would find out. It's just plain superior treatment. It gives you the exact same things your own thyroid would be producing---T4, T3, T2, T1 and calcitonin. Armour changed my life around SO abundantly that I could NOT believe it. Just 1 1/2 years ago, I was finally ready to apply for disability. This is while being " adequately " treated with Levoxyl and having a " normal " TSH. BALONEY!! Yes, sublingually taking your natural thyroid is a great way to deliver it to your body. IF you can afford labs, your goal is to get your free T3 to the upper part of the range. Some folks like to see their T4 higher than Armour gets it, but so far, I personally haven't seen the need. The TSH is fairly useless once you begin successful treatment. Teach your doc to ignore it as you get that free T3 up there. YOU, Bob, are impressive. Glad you are on your way. Stay with us. You can give a great testimony about your discovery to others as they post on this group. Janie, ThyroDiva

Guest guest
Great story Bob. Thanks so much for sharing it with us..... More folks need to follow your example. If you aren't feeling quite right... be persistent and don't give in. We know our bodies better than they do, if we dont' feel right yet, something is still not right and it needs to be addressed. Keep us posted on your progress, please..... Topper () On Thu, 23 Oct 2003 18:57:47 -0700 (PDT) writes: > > Hello to the Group! > > I've been lurking for about a week. Guest guest
If that is all the tests she was doing, she is a TSH doc, and that is BAD TREATMENT. When you go to a new doc, INSIST on a free T3 and free T4. Your goal is to get that free T3 to the top of the range, NO MATTER WHERE the TSH gets down to!! And by the way, when your T4 was 4.4, you were severly hypo, because it points to a LOUSY free T3. T4 is a storage hormone that converts to T3. Guest guest
Gosh...You brought tears to my eyes when you told me about the t4! They never talked about that to me! I was on Synthroid when that test was taken. Which I had a gut feeling at the time Armour would work better for me so I asked the doctor to prescribe it. No wonder I guess I started to feel a little better with the armour at only the 15mg. I have been going in circles with myself thinking what is wrong with me! I have put on so much weight too after the drop in Armour. In less than a month I think I put on 10 pounds or more. The new Doctor is one I found on the doctor list at about.com. He checks everything from what I have heard. He even does a very expensive Physiologic-metabolic mapping. I can't afford that...but I hope he can help me. Thank You!
