The LDN Trial: Can anyone help?

Hi

I was recently at a big MS Conference here in the UK. The very

respected Neuro Alasdair Coles spoke of his frustration as a LDN trial

fell-through.

He described how he had secured funding for a trial, via the UK MS

Society, and worked with the lady who had been pushing LDN in the UK

(didn't name her though). Apparently, all was on course until they

contacted a Dr. Bahrain? Apologies for any spelling errors there.

Here is where it fell down. Alasdair Coles was saying that he wanted

Dr. Bahrain to work with them as he and his colleagues had been

presribing LDN for patients and were some of the main advocators of LDN.

However, what infuriated Alasdair Coles after writing several times to

Dr. Bahrain, he was eventually told Dr. Bahrain was-quote/unquote " Too

Busy " to help. This annoyed Alasadair Coles as he had secured funding,

was working alongside LDN advocators and then was told the very people

advocating were too busy to help, when, in essence, they had to

provide little (a signature or two).

Of course I am paraphrasing here and certainly do not claim the above

are exact facts, just what I remember.

This worried me as, although I have never had any experience of LDN, I

always thought this may be an option for my Brother. Alasdair Coles

did not say LDN didn't work, what he was saying was that the medical

community could have little confidence when some main advocators (and

prescribers) were not willing to help seemingly.

Can anyone please shed some light on this, and why these advoctaors of

LDN would not help when many have been crying out for LDN trials for

years now.

This kid of upet me, if true, as it kind of seems weird that-in a

similar stance to the Daval/goat serum people-those advocating were

seemingly not being co-operative when the medical community were

actually willing to do independant trials.

I have criticsied the medical community many times, but if the above

is true then really how does this look?

To reitterate, I am certainly not saing LDN (or goat serum) doesn't

work. I was just after some questions answering.
