Guest guest
Amen to this! I'm craving an aspirin right now. Back aches, slightly headachey. For years I took aspirins and now I'm very sure I'm cleansing them out. Bet they really messed with my liver too. (Plus they make arthritis worse in the long run.) Not to mention that liquor when I was younger. After being addicted to a certain drug, it really makes the natural pain killers not as effective. So I just suffer through it. It doesn't last all day everyday, thank God. Also I've started doing good yoga type exercises again and low impact aerobics...Quite sure this lack of my routine has caused me back problems. I also worked in a nursing home and have decided I never will live in one. I saw bright eyed older folks come in and they started giving them drugs and they declined quickly thereafter. of Dewberry Hill I don't take aspirin/tylenol either or antacids or cold medicine. There's too much of a tradeoff. It might make symptoms go away, but it might mask the real cause of the problem. It also puts an added strain on the liver which already has too much to do to bother with eliminating pharmaceuticals. I know I'm on a soapbox here, but I feel very strongly, for myself, about taking medication. I completely respect the choices of others, but that's my own choice. I have a long way to go in improving my lifestyle, but that's a definite choice I've made. Other things will get worked on over time. getting down off soapbox..... rachel~ " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. " -Kubler Ross " Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
