Guest guest
Deb: Boy did you say it!!! The makeup is in place and the outside all looks normal when inside your wondering if you can make it from the dairy isle all the way over to the deli....seems like 10 miles to my body! I was JUST thinking about this topic the other day when an older woman saw me pull into the disabled spot right near the door of the grocery store, she walked in front of my car and actually had the nerve to check to see if I had broken people plates...pissed me off big time (ooops for the mouth) but I could tell she was thinking I was probably using someone elses car or something. Normally I have too much pride to even allow myself to show a hobble in public but felt I owed her a few. Afterwards I was so disappointed in myself! I don't have to prove my disability to anyone! Maybe she would have liked to see my cards that show that I have clearance from security machines because of all the implanted devices I have? I got off track a bit from your question........most of the people that know me say they can tell from my face what kind of day I'm having, I have actually ground down my bottom front teeth from being in this clinched teeth mode so much. BUT, when someone asks me how I'm doing I usually respond by saying: " It always depends on what kind of sense of humor the Lord is having that day :>} " Not to be sacreligious but it lightens things up and I don't have to go into great detail about how red and puffed up my feet are and how bad it is hurting me to stand there and explain all this to you. The clencher though is when someone calls and asks you to do them a favor....like help them pack up to move, thats when I know they haven't a clue where I'm at and it's time to let down the act. Forgive, O Lord, my little jokes on thee And I will forgive thy big one on me. Author: Frost
