Guest guest
Kathy, Mine is the testosterone gel kind too. My doctor told me to " smear it " from the very top of the front all the way to the backside and in between my butt cheeks, I have problems there because of Lichen Sclerosis. So yes, put it everywhere. My doctor even said I could put a little in my opening, it does help. I also take calcium citrate and have noticed less burning when I use the bathroom so maybe this is helping my skin, may be keeping me regular too. I really don't know. Use the testosterone cream sparingly. I actually use 3 amounts, each one the size of a dime. I apply 3 times in evening, at the same time but I wash my hands before going from place to place. So actually I only do 1 application a day, to 3 different areas, washing my hands in between. All total I don't think I use much more than the size of a quarter a day. For what they gave me for a month's supply I will probably get 3 months out of. Hope this helps. In Cleve. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
- I have what may be a dumb question. I got a lot of info from Dee when I posted a question about testosterone when I found that my level was extremely low. I just received a prescription yesterday for a testosterone " gel " to be used externally. My main problem that led to having the testosterone tested is that over the last 6-7 months I have been unable to have an orgasm, after 3 yrs of battling the vulvodynia, and finally starting to feel better enough to even have sex. So, my gyn prescribed the gel to try first, but now I'm wondering, where exactly should I be using it? Just on the vulvar area? Do I also put it on the clitoris? I know this must sound nuts, and of course I'm hoping for a miracle that probably won't happen, but if I'm using it, I just want to make sure I'm doing it right! You can email me if you'd prefer not to answer here! I also have endo and have had 3 laparoscopies, so I can totally sympathize with you there - I'm on continuous birth control pills right now and have done 2 courses (6 months each) of Lupron right after the surgery to try to supress any endo that may have not been removed. That's not fun, but I do think it helps, but I've been having some pain again, and now have had 2 pap tests with inconclusive results, so I'm waiting to have the 3rd and figure out what to do, since I've also had some bleeding after intercourse - which could be the sign of a cervix problem - hey, why not? I've got everything else. I think I may be on the verge of a hysterectomy, but we're trying everything else first. I just turned 40, so I'd like to hold off if I can, but some days I think it would just be easier to get it over with! Sorry this is so long - it's just one of those days. Thanks for any help you can give me. Also found it interesting that your chronic constipation has let up - I take low dose antidepressants for fibromyalgia and battle with constipation every day - I do take senokot, which helps, but if there's any chance that the testosterone helps, that would be one good thing in all of this!
