Guest guest
Chris: Some people are given the dose and do not have to be isolated in the hospital at all. I've never been hospitalized longer than 2 days. Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 35.75 allows the release of an individual who has been administered a therapeutic amount of Iodine - 131 if the total effective dose equivalent to any other individual is not likely to exceed 5 millisieverts (500 millirem). Marilyn (dx '94-pap w/lung metastases - 5 pos scans/435mCi's - scans 6 & 7 clean) christine_stier@... wrote: > This is a little off the subject, but I'm curious about how you had > your RAI one day and came home the next day. Guest guest
Marilyn, How do your numbers translate to mCi's? Is 5 millisieverts equal to 5 mCi? --Chris > > > This is a little off the subject, but I'm curious about how you had > > your RAI one day and came home the next day.
