Guest guest
Hi, this is Debbie Reynolds....I got this.....first post I've had from this list.....it works, I guess. I voted. I think the move should be made slowly and perhaps both lists run concurrently for a short time, to make sure they are the same......(computer dummy) Love, Deb
Guest guest
Debbie... I'd hate for people to miss out on help because the posted to one or the other list and someone didn't see it because they are on the other list! I think we need to decide what to do, and it seems like Rick has decided...it really sounds like he's ready to be done with the squishlist. You'll love egroups...so many cool features. Well...I need to go vote in our very first poll! Nan
Guest guest
Hi Debbie & Nan: If Rick really is burnt out, the other list will simply cease to exist! If he shuts down the website, the company carrying the website will certainly not pay for the group associated with it! I'm wondering if we can gain the name ketogenic.org from him. We still won't be able to keep the list though...at least not without paying for it! Unless someone can talk squish.com into sponsoring the list. But that doesn't help about the unmanageable size. With egroups, you can sort by thread and move the thread into an archive so that people may be able to search for an answer BEFORE they post and perhaps find emergency answers in the middle of the night! Debbie, I remember when I first got any a list when I still had a 4 meg computer with a 28k modem and no internet, just free Juno email. It tooks DAYS not hours to try to keep up with the list and it only had about 50 members! People don't have to be computer literate here on egroup and this option will really help free up the list for those with really slow computers. Nan, I tested a poll by starting one but do you know how we can view other peoples responses? All I get is the vote I cast. What am I missing?
