You can try the Childrens Miracle Ear Foundation, but

they provide aids to children with sensorineural

loss.In the brochure it states that " qualification

requires proof of an income level in excess of the

amount to receive public support but insufficient to

purchase hearing aids " . There is a website,

http://www.miracle-ear.com or a number 1-.

<<<I would LOVE this info, if you can find it. A

friend of mine (with

an HOH daughter) told me today about a woman she knows

who just found

out her adopted 8-month old baby is HOH (she's had her

about six

weeks), and she's feeling like she can't cope;

apparently is

seriously thinking about returning the baby. Among

other things,

she's a single mom and can't afford the aids. I'm

going to try to

contact her, and would love to share any info on how

to get financial

help. Of course, I'll also share plenty of other info

with her, and

try to ease her distress.
