Guest guest
You can try the Childrens Miracle Ear Foundation, but they provide aids to children with sensorineural loss.In the brochure it states that " qualification requires proof of an income level in excess of the amount to receive public support but insufficient to purchase hearing aids " . There is a website, http://www.miracle-ear.com or a number 1-. J <<<I would LOVE this info, if you can find it. A friend of mine (with an HOH daughter) told me today about a woman she knows who just found out her adopted 8-month old baby is HOH (she's had her about six weeks), and she's feeling like she can't cope; apparently is seriously thinking about returning the baby. Among other things, she's a single mom and can't afford the aids. I'm going to try to contact her, and would love to share any info on how to get financial help. Of course, I'll also share plenty of other info with her, and try to ease her distress. --- Stefanie Cloutier wrote: > > > >We paid for Jake's first pair of aids but the > second pair was bought through > >something called Assistive Technology Grants for > children birth to three. > >Thank goodness since we had to buy the ones with > the built in FM system that > >ran about $5000 at that time, if we bought them > ourselves but were obtained > >through AT for " cost " without hospital markup. > I'll see if I still have the > >info on it in my attic. > > > > I would LOVE this info, if you can find it.
