Guest guest
Stacie, just have to agree with you 100% on the episiotomy's....and the latest medical reports from Jama, ACOG, Lancet, etc.etc. all say not to use it unless it's deemed necessary...as you said, lets hope more doctors keep up with these latest studies. Now... speaking of genital mutilation, (not the change the subject) YEah right!!.. haha.. But I was looking up Clitoral Fusion, etc.etc. and I ran across about 8 articles on how to do surgery to diminish the Labia Majora, (smaller lips) for cosmetic reasons. I WAS SICK TO MY STOMACH. Described it in detail how and where to cut and stitch, etc. One of the places that surprised me were the Dutch, and Africa, I expected.. one was from France and some countries I don't remember. Thank god I didn't see any from the USA. Just hard to believe this takes place in this day and age. Oh, and I know all about the clitorectomy, in fact complete vulvectomy in some 3rd world countries... As a right of initiation in girls as young as 12. God is that infuriating...and what a way to keep a woman subserviant.. sorry off subject here, I couldn't help it. Dee
