Guest guest
Hi. Not sure, unless you are very, very sensitive to herbs. Try taking only one at a time to try to isolate which one is giving you the problem. Turmeric is particularly spicy. Also, if you are taking more than one, say two of each, at a time, try lowering to only one of each. My next suggestion would be to take with a glass of rice milk, or almond milk. Herbs are absorbed best taken with water on an empty stomach, but maybe just a little milk would coat the stomach enough to still allow good absorption without the problems. I take both of these (along with handfuls of others) at the same time and I've never had a problem. But, as we know, everyone is different. Guest guest
thanks for your response. There is actually a website, I posted once before but can't find it now (I'll look again) where about 5 or 6 people claim that minocycline has put their MS into remission or resulted in vast improvements. One possible problem is that antibiotics are known to cause a lot of candida/yeast, which can also be an MS trigger. So I think it might help some and not others, depending on what the underlying cause is with the individual. I have considered it too, but so far not tried it. > > fyi: In my travels reading everything I can get my hands on regarding this beast called ms, I stumbled on a woman taking minocycline to slow the progression. My dr did the research and prescribed 10 mg twice daily. I've been taking it about three weeks and do notice a strengthening of my legs. LDN never did this for me. I am on some of the other products Dr Blaycock recommends, just by happenstance, again due to my research. I take alot of stuff daily and only have problems when I don't take enuf liquid. Some of those capsules can be nasty without enuf liquids. >
Guest guest
This is the website I mentioned about a few people having benefit with minocyline (sorry, I know we don't usually talk script meds here, but hey, at least it's not a CRAB). http://knowms.com/2007/01/09/minocycline1alison.html
Guest guest
I have personal experience from Tumeric and L-carnitine. I think tumeric is a very good antioxidant and use it every day, alternatively with ginko biloba. As to L- carnitine, for me it is the best supplement ever. I take 2 grs/day in liquid form and swear by it. I know other people with serious problems who take up to 6 grs/day with very good results. I didn't know these supplements have to do with mercury and aspartame. Both of them must have contributed to my problem, since I have a lot of fillings (I plan to remove) and I have used a lot of aspartame when I was young. I have been through a bad period lately ( I thought it was a healing crisis), being on a new homeopathetic cure. I found out that the healing crisis (if any) was combined with lactose intolerance. What I did was cut off the new homeopathetic supplements one by one and see how I feel. When I cut off the one that contained much lactose (87% lactose filler, three spoonfuls/day), my weakness came to an end. The strange thing is that, when I had a thorough food allergy test last year, I was not found lactose intolerant. I believe that what every moment is different. Some years ago I had developed a serious urticaria due to cat's hair, a problem I never had before. I suggest that you should cut off the new supplements one after the other and see if you pinpoint the one that bothers you. Are you taking other supplements? You could do the same with all the supplements you take. Have you been eating something special lately, even if it hasn't bothered you in the past? My best, Katerina
