Yes, CO is one of them, but they only provide 20 sessions a week. My friends daughter had 50 sessions of speech last yr and only 20 this yr as this is all they HAVE to provide! Maybe we should talk to the people who write the laws and ask them where they got their criteria from? Orla
Guest guest
I am confused -- why would genetic hearing loss exclude someone from receiving speech therapy? Is it that, since this is how they were born, they are not meant to speak like other people? But if their hearing loss were caused by CMV or rubella, then they were actually meant to be able to hear, and therefore speak, so they should receive speech therapy? Please help me understand! >Hi, > >I was skimming through the last digest and remembered something about >genetic hearing loss which would result in exclusion of speech therapy. They wont cover your feet (ingrown toenails, bunions, etc..) or hearing aids. Gee, i guess its not important that we walk & hear. But boy i'll bet they will cover getting a fake um... " upper torso thing " , like thats important to live!! I give up trying to understand! Betty
