CII invites industry to accept HIV policy

Bangalore: The Confederation of Indian Industry(CII)

expects its 5000- plus member companies to adopt its

HIV/AIDS policy by this year end. “CII wants to engage

the industry” in meeting the challenge of HIV/AIDS, Dr

Tarun Das, chief mentor of CII and managing trustees

of Indian Business Trust for HIV/AIDS told a CII

conference on ‘Business response to HIV/AIDS”.

Some 2000 companies have already been covered under

the policy, which includes development of a workplace

policy for industry and framing of workplace protocols

which are standardized on ISO 9002
