Hi Valentina,

we chelate with DMSA only, and my son always has runny nose during on

days

Hi Margaret,

did you ever check his neutrophils?

I am thinking that it must be a reason for the runny nose. His body is

reacting to something...

Sorry if my theories are confusing :) I guess I have a new fixation :))LOL

Valentina,

could you please tell me how to do it? What is the name of the test?

We had some tests before we started chelation, CBC - all components

were normal except that MCHC and RDW (I don't know what is this) were

a little high, ALT and AST were normal,BUN and creatinine were normal.

Do I need to check anything else? We repeated those tests recently

but I do not have the results yet. What are the main things I must

check?

Thank you,

Margaret

Hi Margaret,

I am not sure, because I live in a different country, but I think you have

the right test. I know CBC means " Complete Blood Count " . Again, I don't know

if this is true, but I am thinking that if it's called " complete " , it must

have the neutrophils count there somewhere... It's easy to see... look at the

paper for the word " neutrophils " and see what value is there... or maybe

there is something like this: " NEU " . It means the same thing...

MCHC mean " Corpuscular hemoglobin concentration " (I found this on the web

somewhere) and RDW - Red cell Distribution Width (if you are curious).

MCHC and MCV are used to determine anemia.

I don't know if you have to run others tests... I think with DMSA the

neutrophils are important. Oh! Maybe you want to check for plasma cysteine...

I don't know...

Sorry I can't help more...

Thank you very much, Valentina. I will check, he may have anemia.

Best wishes,

Margaret
