Need some help with calculations

Servings...

On page 200 of IE it what a serving is but then on the next page it

gives samples that are equivalent to 5 servings:

2 oranges and 1 1/2 cup of salad

1 apple and 2 cups of broccoli

1 cup of fruit salad and 1 1/2 cup of cooked carrots.

From the serving amounts listed on page 200 the first one would be:

2 oranges (2 servings) and 1.5 cup salad (since it's raw, 1.5

servings of veggies) equaling 3.5 servings right?

1 apple (1 serving) and 2 cups of broc (3 servings) = 4 servings

Same with the last.

Does 1 cup of fruit or 1 peice of fruit serve as 2 servings?

I'm confused.
