Guest guest
Hello! My name is . I'm trying to become an intuitive eater. I've had type I Diabetes for 29 years now (since I was 7), and compulsively binged most of my life. It wasn't until I realized that the " no sugar " mandate actually caused the binges that I started forgiving myself. I lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers last year, but immediately started gaining, went on WW again, continued to gain, thought I was crazy or that something was seriously wrong with my body. After all, they kept telling me that if I followed the program I would lose again -- I was obviously doing something wrong: cheating. Then I started reading some books about anti-dieting and they all started to make sense. I read Intuitive Eating a month ago, and have been trying to implement the principles in my life. My biggest challenge is to pay attention while I'm eating. I tend to be very unconscious about my eating - food has always been my enemy, so I kind of block it out. Anyway, I'm glad to find a group of people talking about the same thing. I'm learning to accept my body as it is, which is hard because I am an actress, but I felt better the first day I threw out all my WW materials. Thanks!
