Guest guest
Yes I have a code I have to enter when I order. I doubt it would be the same for everyone because if that were the case, we could give out the code and everyone would get 10 bucks off! Wouldn't that be nice! Guest guest
I haven't received that yet. I did receive a flyer about the new version and it looks like they're not offering it for dos anymore. I had heard they weren't going to. Guest guest
From what I've been told, you can't work in Dos in WinMe either, you can access it for other things but not word processing programs. My husband's computer has ME and you can't shut down to Dos, and for some reason that's the only way the print driver works. I wonder what market they had for the Dos program.Just curious. Guest guest
I use Windows ME and while it doesn't " shut down " to DOS really, you can still use DOS programs. I work with DOS MedQuist software everyday and I have also installed and tried out my old WordPerfect 5.1 DOS a couple of weeks ago and it worked. Window ME just uses DOS programs in a DOS window instead of shutting down to DOS the way it used to. However, that isn't to say that all DOS programs would work okay with Win ME, I'm sure some programs probably aren't compatible. Guest guest
Thanks for that info Trisha, I certainly was given the wrong information! I'll have to see if it'll print from that window. For some reason, I can't print from a dos window with Windows 95, I have to shut down in dos. I'll have to install my 5.1 dos program with ME and try it. Thanks again.
