The odds of matching 3 numbers would be 1 in 117,600. Calculate it like this: the odds of matching one number is 1 in 50. The odds of matching a second number would be 1 in 49 (because 1 ball has been removed). The odds of matching a third ball would be 1 in 48, and so on. The odds of matching 3 balls would be 1/50 times 1/49 times 1/48, which is 1/117,600.
