Guest guest
Hi Challis,…….seems odd to me that you guys would be getting such low temps. But you are in the mountains aren’t you? Do you get much snow? My daughter Tina lived in Tempe, and then Mesa with her first husband back in ‘95, and she liked it there except when it got too warm. I miss having company. We have friends from the Island come a couple times a year, but that seems to be all any more. I don’t know if either one of us could do what needed to be done to have extra bodies around. I usually just tell everyone to help themselves, and not to worry about asking. Some people don’t feel comfortable doing that I guess? That shoulder thing you have going on sure sounds “neurological” to me. I found a great pillow that I’ve used for years now that cuts down on the stiff neck I use to wake up with daily. I got it at Linen ‘N Things, and it said it was specifically for stiff necks. It has some type of firm batting in it that kind of molds to your head, and supports your neck. That’s the important part is the support of your neck. Tina has neck problems from a car accident she was in a few years back. I think she has Fibromyalgia now too. Seems like she is following in my footsteps, because all my problems started with injuries. I just hope she doesn’t get MS. Its in both sides of our families. Steve’s Aunt had it. Ahhh, cleaning isn’t stupid. I use to like to clean, and now that I can’t it really bothers me to go so long without my house getting clean! By the way,……..I caught that little remark about ME wanting YOU to send pictures and all……….Hrumppp…….well you are the daughter of a very pretty leader……..and if she can post a picture so can you! heh, heh, heh…… Love and hugs, Jackie From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of Smyelin groovy Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 10:40 AM To: MSersLife Subject: Re: How is everybody? Hi Jackie! It's good to see you! Our nighttime temps have been dipping into the 20ºs, too. It was a toasty 33º when we woke up yesterday morning though. lol I can't remember what this morning's temp was. We're supposed to get into the mid-60ºs tomorrow, with a nighttime temp around 31º (around 30º tonight). I'd like to see it as warm as possible for taking the girls out tomorrow evening, and no wind or breeze would be nice! LOL The boys have decided they're not tagging along for the Trick-or-Treating this year. <g> We had company up this past weekend. 's Uncle (four years his senior, so they grew up together) and Aunt came up Saturday and stayed over that night. It was a lot of fun! lit the fire in the pit and grilled pork loin chops, and we had lots of good fixin's on the side. Very good! Man was I full. LOL We're crossing fingers our expected company for next weekend really will get to come. We miss them and want them up so badly. That right arm of mine is going good today. There's always something going on along the right of my neck, shoulder, arm, yadda yadda. It got going strong this weekend, with a lot of pain yesterday evening. I tried a corn bag, something I havne't done in a long time, and woke with a very stiff neck. That'll teach me for trying to fix it? LOL Today it's that pain with a burning cold feeling down my arm. Whoohoo! LOL I need to finish the laundry and find something to clean. Cleaning is stupid. LOL Challis Jackie Hanan wrote: I think this is the quietest I’ve ever seen the group. It’s going to be colder around here thru Wednesday, dipping into the 20’s at night. My joints and muscles sure feel it. Can’t seem to win with whatever weather we are having. Guest guest
LOL Yeah, we're more in the mountains. Actually, just outside them, in the "high desert", but close enough! Within a short drive, we're shopping in the pines. Used to be, in Arizona's White Mountains, there was a town called Maverick. It's been gone for a while now, but when it was still a town, they gave Arizona the nation's coldest temps. Huh. framed up in that area for a bit (that's where he was when we remet, on a visit he made to his parents'), and he saw an old picture hanging on a store wall. There was a train, going through Maverick, pushing snow in front of it and snow piled so high on either side it was higher than the train itself. We don't get that kind of snow where we are! LOL We get a bit of snow, but even our "dustings" aren't as much as what most people call "dustings". Our snow fall doens't even make that. LOL We've had a few good falls, but not much. Our first December here, we had 10". A bit here and there since, and last March we had 18 to 24". Now that's a fall! LOL and I grew up east of Mesa and Tina's right, those warmer temps are not much fun. LOL When my Sis and Sis-in-law moved to the Valley about a year and a half ago it was fun heairng their experiences. My sister grew up in New Mexico and moved to Pennsylvania several years ago. That's where she and Addy met. Then they came out here. Addy said she loves the heat. A summer in the Phoenix are can change a person's mind. LOL I don't know how spent so many years framing in that. Bleh. LOL I just have to find a picture AND remember to scan it AND remember to send it. What? Me? Procrastinate even if I do remember? Nahhhh.
