Guest guest
, Welcome to our list!! Glad to have you here. We recently tried the B6 therapy with my son, . We have seem some cognitive improvements. From what I understand, the only risk is if you go WAY too high. I had a neuro set 's dose & I'm gonna talk to his pediatrician this week about increasing it (we are on 100mg per day, but many on this list are on much higher doses). is 6 years old & is cognitively around 3 to 4 years, and speech closer to 2-3 yr. Since beginning the B6, we feel understands more & his vocabulary has increased. It's not a NIGHT & DAY change, but a definite progression. Good luck in your research. BTW, in order to work effectively, you must give magnesium with it. Guest guest
-- I just started B6 last week. My daughter is 6 years old and weighs 38 pounds. I started at 50 mg. and will up to 100 mg. today. I posted last week that we were on a deep end. Since starting the B6, she has had only 1 seizure in the past week (as opposed to 1/day likely from withdrawl). May be a coincidence. . . I also raised her ratio and scaled back on some of the other changes I had made. We'll see if the increase of 50 mg. shows any more results. This week she has had very good days -- more relaxed and more interested in learning. . . lots of giggling, too! I had started her on a multi vitamin -- hypoallergenic (non-carb) Nu-Thera a few weeks ago. It contained P5P which is a more potent form of B6. It seemed to make her very hyper, so I stopped it. There's a yahoo group on B6, if you're interested. Their list serve isn't very active, so it's not much extra e-mail. You could also search their archives. There have been a couple amazing newspaper articles come out of this group in the past couple weeks. Good luck!--DeEtte *** Has anyone tried B6? Has it helped with this? I would love anyone's input on this. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
