Guest guest Posted December 5, 2005 Report Share Posted December 5, 2005 REPORTING HIV/AIDS – THE EU-INDIA MEDIA AWARDS, 2005 The Thomson Foundation invites applications from Indian journalists for Reporting HIV/AIDS – The EU-India Media Awards 2005. The awards will recognize and reward excellence in the reporting of HIV/AIDS in India. Up to six awards will be made – two each for Print, Radio and Television. The awards will enable Indian journalists to travel to Europe and experience first-hand the working of a European institution/ organization in the field of HIV/AIDS and thus further their professional knowledge. The Awards will build upon the Media Manual on HIV/AIDS, India, 2005, and seek to further the best practices enumerated in the Manual. The Media Manual is available online at: http://www.aidsandmedia.org/manual.htm The awards have been instituted under The EU-India Media Initiative on HIV/AIDS, which aims to positively impact media coverage of HIV/AIDS in India. The EU-India Media Initiative on HIV/AIDS is being implemented by The Thomson Foundation with the financial assistance of the European Union. The project partners are the Indian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+), Commonwealth Broadcasting Association and University of Tampere, Finland.
