Guest guest
Dear Friends, This World Aids Day was a very meaningful day for Udaan and its members. Many people approached on the helpline of Udaan and also personally visited our office after the WAD programme. Our 50 volunteers helped us to reach more than 50,000 people on the 1st of December. Our volunteers distributed pamplets and handbills with messages of LIFE AFTER INFECTION for the first time on all railway stations of Western, Central and Harbour stations in Mumbai and in Pune, all stations upto pimpri and chinchwad railway stations were also covered during this day. Our volunteers answered all the queries of the commuters who took up the time to read the pamplets of Life After Infection and they were also sensitised with correct information on prevention thru IEC materials developed by Avert Society. We got tremendous response from our STALL at Ghatkopar railway station on that day. More than 600 people personally visited and appreciated the work that Udaan was doing. In the evening we had an entertaining programme for our PLHA brothers and sisters of Lavni (Raja sa Tumchya sati) at Shirodkar Hall Parel where more than 200 registered PLHA members of Udaan attended withover many members from other NGOs and CBOs attended. We thank all those who supported Udaan on this day. Udaan is actively involved in sensitizing the marginalised communities during this week. All the sites in Mumbai, Thane and Pune will be covered by our volunteers during this period. We once again take this opportunity to thank all those who helped and are helping Udaan in its mission. With warmest regards, Mahendra Kadam Project Manager - Udaan, Maharashtra e-MAIL: <udaantrust@...>
