You take empty 00 gelcaps and buy powered boric acid (over the counter dirt cheap) and fill the capsules about 1/2-3/4 full. Then insert them into the vagina at night and wear a mini pad because they make you " juicy " and you leak. Do this nightly for 7-14 nights. > > Also I can tell you that when I was on the sporanox for that week I >was symptom free and when I stopped it my symptoms came back. I read that for every year you are sick...you have to do yeast/sugar/antifungals for 1 month. So if you have had symptoms for 6 years.. you need 6 months of antifungals/diet to get over it. Olive leaf extrace, grapeFRUIT seed extract, formula SF722, garlic, and there are tons more of the natural antifungals. Rotate them weekly to keep the fungus from getting immune to them. Guest guest
do you mean taking the boric acid capsules by mouth? I have never heard of this, I don't think this is something that can be taken by mouth. Just want to clarify because the way it is written it sounds like taking the capsules by mouth. Sorry just want to be sure. There is one thing about this yeast free diet that gets to me and that is the fact that no one seems to be able to get off of it. All I read it that when you are on this diet, that when you take one bite of anything sugary that you get the symptoms back, is this true? This is what I keep reading. This is not normal. everyone else out there who does not have a yeast problem can eat sugar stuff without any problems and this is what it should be like. Also I read that the yeast transform themselves into something called rhizoid and they attach themselves to organs and tissues. I also read that they have to be killed with medication and not just starving them off? Just wanting some answers. Traci Also I can tell you that when I was on the sporanox for that week I was symptom free and when I stopped it my symptoms came back. This is the first time in 7 years. This just has to be a yeast problem for me. Also I am finding out at so many people on my IC group also have toenail and fingernail fungus so I was wondering if any of you who have VV have fingernail or toenail fungus? Suzy - baking soda Suzy: Have you tried boric acid for recalibrating the vaginal Ph? You can either use suppositories or take capsules. Just another possibility in case the baking soda isn't giving you what you need. So far it sounds like it's working and I think that's great. Guest guest
Thanks Lynn. I forgot about that. I read that somewhere. I used to take grapefruit seed extract for a while off and on and the last time I used it I got a severe UTI so I quit taking it. Do you know anyone who has used these natural stuff that has worked for them? Traci Re: Suzy - baking soda > do you mean taking the boric acid capsules by mouth? NO NO NO! Never by mouth! Guest guest
" To Wake In Tears " and " Along The Healing Path " about interstitial cystitis. Many women on the IC support site I go to are using natrual antifungals. I can't get a diagnosis of IC so I am doing things on my own. I had taken 17 doses of antibiotics in 24 months (long story...) and that is when my vulvodynia burning started which was soon followed by urethral pain and then bladder pressure. Been to 3 urologist and they say " No IC " but have no clue what it is. I don't even care anymore what it is ..I just want relief. I started drinking Marshmallow Root Tea daily and am using Olive Leaf Extract/Garlic/SF722/Vitamins/Soy tablets and things are better. I tihnk something is happening because I got a cold sore for the first time in YEARS so am taking L-Lysine for that. Talking to others they think it is my body purging the virus from the Olive Leaf Extract. Anyway---anytime you take antifungals you may get worse before you get better. My first week on this stuff things got worse then I felt like I had the flu (they call that die off) and now I am fine. Lynn
