I have been lurking on this egroup, trying to determine if this is what

I want

to attempt or not. There are SO MANY queries that I have seen in the last

several weeks, that the transcriber, nor anyone who replied knew what

the doctor was saying. My question as a complete outsider at this point,

is *What do you do when a word or phrase just cannot be interpreted?*

I mean, you can't just call up the doc or their nurse and ask...or can you?

Do you ever return transcriptions that ref. areas of unknown terminology?

How is that typically handled?
