Guest guest
Help We're so confused. We have already been to see Dr. Weingart at our own expense for my husband. He gave him a dx of a 4mm chiari. He seemed to be recommending surgery and stated that is was a reasonable decision for my husband. The Head Dr. at our primary clinic did not approve the refferal, and instead sent us to the University of Mn first. We Just came from there today. The Surgeon confirmed a mild chiari(2- 3mm). But said he thought there was plenty of room. He didn't think a decompression would do anything. We Just don't know what to think Any Advice? Should we get a third opinion? I hate to go traipsing around the whole country. Will any Dr. give a surgical opinion without seeing my husband first? This Dr. Wants focused on having him checked for Parkinsons even though he admited that it wouldn't have anything to do with his balance problems or the pain in the back of the head. Help!!
