Guest guest
Hey , Sad to learn you did not find Sam but good that your story had a happy ending! It's also great to know you loved our brew. Molson makes a few brands. " Canadian " and " Export " are the most popular. Which one did you get?? It was over 15 years ago that I last had a Molson's in the US. It was definetly better than any US brand I ever had at the time but not the same as the Molson's we get here. Was your bottle green or brown. Did it have a date stamp as to when it was brewed? Did it say " 5% alcohol " on the lable? Perhaps Molson is feeling sorry for you guys and is shipping better stuff these days. Good luck in your search for Sam, I'm sure you will enjoy it too. ---------- From: and Christi Waldrip Sent: Sunday, May 21, 2000 6:00 AM To: NF2_Crewegroups Subject: Non-NF2: Sam /Molson , Yesterday after work, we headed to the store to get ready for a celebratory cookout. Got some nice T-Bones, the charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. It had rained that morning, but cleared up and was then about 95 degrees, with 90% humidity. It was hot and sticky, very miserable weather. Couldn't wait to try the Sam . They were out! Apparently only one store in town carries it, and were out. But, I was determined to try something new, so I got some Molson instead. I remember you saying the U.S. version is not as good as the Canadian, so let me say this: I'm moving to Canada if the beer is that good! I was impressed. Excellent beer, sissified U.S. version or not. Still looking for some Sam , __________________________________________________
Guest guest
& - Have you guys tried Killians Red? Besides Sam and Newcastle, I think it's one of the best... Peace- JJ ======================================================= , Molson Ice was the only Molson available here, at this particular store. I am in Ft. Stockton, a little town I grew up in, visiting in-laws. It has a population of less than 10,000, and two grocery stores. Not much variety. Next time I am in Odessa or Midland, I will look for Molson Canadian, and Sam . 5.9% is very strong beer, as compared to the most popular U.S. beers. Coors Light, Bud Light, etc., I think have about 2.9%, which is why the rest of the world scoffs at them. Some of my friends complain that imports like Corona, Molson, Heineken, etc., cost more, but they also contain more than twice the alcohol. This goes right over their heads... Shiner Bock is a popular Texas brewed beer (out of Austin). I don't care for it myself, but if you find some, you might like it. --- Fusca wrote: > , > > We get Molson Ice here too of course. Guest guest
Jayne, Never had a Killians Red. We used to have a Red Cap out here. My father used to drink it but I never knew anyone else that ever bought it. The TV commercial for Red Cap was something else. About a hundred men with red caps would take them of their heads and put them over their hearts and start singing " we'll drink Carling Red Cap, its our favourite brew... " . That must go back a least 20 years. ---------- From: Jayne ston Sent: Monday, May 22, 2000 10:53 AM To: NF2_Crew Subject: FW: FW: Non-NF2: Sam /Molson & - Have you guys tried Killians Red? Guest guest
Jenn, We had Red Dog in Canada. I've never tried it but they had a big awareness thing when it came out and there were these big, ugly, red bulldogs all over town. ---------- From: Jennette Braaten Sent: Monday, May 22, 2000 12:12 PM To: NF2_Crewegroups Subject: Re: FW: FW: Non-NF2: Sam /Molson On a snorkeling cruise we took on Maui, Greg and I had this beer called Red Dog. I've never seen it before, has anyone else? It was good since I haven't had a beer in a while. The most recent was Zima, which I doubt is in the " beer " category.:)I'm curious where it's from... do any of you beer experts know? Guest guest
, Red Dog is a beer (I think). I never tried it but from the looks of the label, it's probably better I level it that way. ---------- From: johncawe Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 4:27 PM To: NF2_Crewegroups Subject: Re: FW: FW: Non-NF2: Sam /Molson Whats RED DOG?
