Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new to the group. I started having problems in October of 2,000. First if was bladder infections than yeast , it repeating itself. Then I started having bladder retention. That was awful. Then on Christmas day of 2001 I hit bottom. I had horrible pain in my urethra and vulva. Stabbing pain, slacks bother me etc. I have been to the gyn 3 times and he says everything is okay, then I visit two urologists. The second one said I had urethritis. I am to o stay on a low grade of Tempex for 3 months. Nothing is getting better. Now I cannot even function to go and do things during the day. I just and feel miserable. It hurts to much to sit so I lay. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I have been reading " Screaming to be heard " and now I am more confused on what to do about the estrogen. I had everything taken out several years ago so I am on Estertest. I don't know if that is good or bad. Thanks for listening, ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Having IC can make the vulva hurt as well. Do a search on Interstitial Cystitis and see if the symptoms are similar to yours. http://forum.asiaco.com/cgi- bin/forum/forum.cgi?c=forum & fid=ichope & n=
Guest guest
> Maddy, > Have you tried taking capsules of Marshmallow? I bought some because I am having a heck of a time with pain after urinating right now, I see the urologist again thursday?? I was just wondering if the capsules would work or if it has to be the tea. The capsules smell and taste gross does the tea smell that bad?? > Daphne They say the tea works better....you can open a capsule or two and make the tea. I think the tea tastes like dirt.....but I haven't added any milk or sweetener to it. I just drink it and try to ignore the taste. My urologist called yesterday....he thinks it is urethritis but doing some research....that could just mean I have a milder form of interstitial cystitis. He didn't offer any help. Hope your appt goes better... Lynn
Guest guest
> not occording to my urologist, but I have something!! > > > do you have interstitial cystitis Daphne, You sound like me...according to 3 urologists, I don't have IC but I have something. The last doctor said Urethritis yet....it has no cure and no cause AND many doctors think it is mild IC. I also do NOT have frequency or urgency. After I pee....I get up and start to walk away..my urethra aches. Sometimes...I have bladder pressure or the feeling that I have to go even when I just did but that usually happens after a reat UTI and eventually clears up. I just seem to feel my urethra all day long so I am focused on the area. I go about 6-8 times a day and not at night unless I drink a glass of water before bed. I did ask him on the phone about mycoplasmas/ureaplasmas and he said that he may treat me for that in a month if I am no better. I am still putting my faith into the natural herbs because it has been 2 years and nothing has helped other than the herbs. Lynn
