Guest guest Posted April 25, 2006 Report Share Posted April 25, 2006 Children's Center for Development & Behavior, Weston, will run two summer groups for pre-school aged children: DAILY LIVING and LEARNING GROUP will run 3 mornings a week, 2 hours each session. The group will be led by an Occupational Therapist who has extensive experience working w/autism and related disabilities. The goal is to teach, improve and reinforce independence and performance of required daily living skills. Children will learn personal hygiene, grooming, self-feeding, social participation and interaction, establishing daily routines and fine/gross motor skill development. PRE-SCHOOL PRAGMATIC PLAY GROUP is a a one hour language-based therapy group designed to improve the child's ability to interact and form relationships with peers by enhancing their social, play and communication skills. Children will practice skills such as using words to participate in tasks, taking turns, using appropriate eye contact and body language, sharing, using greetings and inititing interactions with peers during play/real life activities. Group will be co-led by a Developmental Specialist and Occupational Therapist. Please contact Client Services at for more information or to register your child.
