Guest guest
ANY help is appreciated as always. I just have to vent first. I had the worst day. They sent me someone elses tapes yesterday, and asked me to send them back, except for one which was cardiology, and asked me to try it. I've never done it, and it was horrible, and it didn't help that they even agreed she was a horrible dictator and kept saying to do the best I could, it was their mistake and to just leave blanks if I had to. I was pulling my hair out and almost cried!(definately screeemed when I finally had to get in the car to get my son from school when it was all over). THere were so many lines of of blanks it wasn't even worth posting. IT took me 5 hours just to do 1.5 sides of tape! It only takes me an hour to do one side of tape of my usual gastro tape. AAHHH!!! Anyway, hope you are all having a better one than me. Uh oh, I smell popcorn! Break time. Be right back. Here are my questions: Serologic evaluation has included an ANA which was noted to be positive at s/l 1-1280 with a speckled pattern, a rheumatoid factor elevated at 41, and a normal ACE level at 7.0. A CT of the chest was without evidence of pulmonary embolus. There were small, less than 1.0 cm s/l peritracheal, s/l prevascular and s/l subcarinal nodes noted. There was a single s/l subcarinal node measured at 1.5 cm. Thanks! Belinda feel free to email me! kbmjoyce@... EarthLink: It's your Internet. Guest guest
Belinda, Sounds like you had a really rough day yesterday. Hopefully they won't do that to you again, so things can get back to normal. Anyway, everything you have looks correct except that the 1:1280 is a ratio. I don't know why that isn't marked in any of the books anywhere, because it sure would help people who are new to know about the ones that are ratios. I can't think of any other lab values off the top of my head that are ratios, but I do know that ANA is. Hope you have a better day, Margaret >>> " Belinda Joyce " 02/15/01 09:02PM >>> ANY help is appreciated as always. I just have to vent first. I had the worst day.
