Guest guest Posted November 21, 2005 Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 *Are you a young person working to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS? *Do you want to provide leadership, capacity building, skills, networking and resources to hundreds of young leaders in HIV/AIDS worldwide, especially those in your country and region? *Are you interested in working with your government and with the United Nations to help create and expand policies and programmes to increase young people's access to HIV prevention, treatment and sexual and reproductive health information, skills and services? *Do you work with excluded groups that are highly vulnerable to HIV infection? *Are you under 28 years old and over 18 years old *Do you have daily internet access and 10-15 hours a week to contribute to the global youth movement against the HIV/AIDS pandemic? If you answered yes to these questions, the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) invites you to apply to be a Regional Focal Point! ------------------------ About GYCA: GYCA (www.youthaidscoalition.org<http://www.youthaidscoalition.org/>) is a youth-led, UNAIDS, UNFPA and UNICEF-supported alliance of over 750 young leaders in HIV/AIDS. GYCA's four priorities are: - capacity building and technical assistance - networking and sharing of best practices among youth worldwide - political advocacy training and campaigns - and preparation for international conferences GYCA's North Secretariat is based in New York City by the United Nations, and its South Secretariat is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
