Along with the world's best films, a host of special events , two promos, each of 30 seconds, prepared by Goa State AIDS Control Society( GSACS) wil be screened for the delegates in the cinema hall at Inox and Kala Academy.Besides, the promos will also be a regular feuture at the public screenings at Caranzalem , Colva beach and Bicholim. Shot by well known Konkani directors Dharmanand Vernekar and Dnyanesh Moghe, one of the promos feuture the HIV/AIDS ambassador in Goa, footballer Jules Alberto. The promo featuring Jules was shot during the Dempo team's practise sessions. " The message is simple... with a disciplined game and life one can achieve every goal and create an AIDS free world. One can also reach one's goals through the ABCs- absistence, be faithful and condom use- concept of HIV/AIDS, " says Pereira, Deputy Director, GSACS. The other 30- second promo features well known artist Subodh Kerkar's installation on HIV/AIDS with a simle message: Be faithful to your partner. Besides, mobile hoardings with message on HIV/AIDS would be seen at public screenings at Caranzalem, Bicholim and Colva for 11 days in a bid to spread the messages to hordes of viewers at the venues. " IFFI -05 offers an ideal way to reach more .The disease is no more limited to the high risk groups " says .
