Guest guest
What does anyone on here know about defects in the GABA membranes, receptors, and drugs which work on this? Does anyone take any benzodiazepines (a class of drugs) and if so, for what? Amen Clinic faxed infor to the Dr and he has put a referal into DSHS and now we wait a wk to see if they approve it, if not we go to another part of DSHS who said they will (but we have to try the 1st step as that is the process). This for the SPECT brain imaging. I noticed yest. his left eye was turned inwards while he watched TV which he does almost sitting on the screen so took him to Eye Dr. It just so happened our family was going last nite for chkups! He is far-sighted (heaven only knows why then he sits so close-maybe to hear as audiologist is next Dr.). What is that called when the eyes wander? He tells the Dr. he can see him double, ha ha ha! (I mean laughed like it was a fun trick) The eye Dr. told me he does it on purpose to get attn. What a bunch of crap-where in the hell do these people come off with this stuff? No one even noticed he did this, I suppose he would think the suicide attempt was for attn too! What could we do to help strengthen eye muscles? This type of thing happens with others of us. Wow! Was I surprised at the far-sighted. He gets his glasses next wk. Now for the audiologist. Connie and I lost it yest. first screaming at each other, then crying, then she gave up and I pulled her back and then later I gave up and she pulled me back! She says give her a notebook with all the pertinent info in it and keep telling her what to do and how to help him and she will try her hardest. I said don't give up and throw out the old I can't think and I'm overwhelmed etc. because I can't go on with this alone, I am exhausted. She is beginning to fight for in a new way. I hope no one minds me saying this but I have to give credit to God here for His interventions and guidance and love for us all. S.
