>I came across a listing for the afib website while searching for

an Atrial Fibrillation Support Group from Yahoo after my second

hospitalization for afib in July of this year.

Since then I have learned that hospitalization is not necessary for

afib. The listmembers have given me a high quality of support

that I couldn't have gotten anyplace else. Thanks to all of

you.......

Meds: Tambocor l50mg twice a day, Coumadin 7.5mg Tu,Th and 10mg the

other days. Diminishing Paxil to 0 from 5mg.......Give 150ml Blood

donations as needed to keep hematocrit at 42 or below to help keep

my blood thin and to reduce my Coumadin intake.

Age 65 NSR BP 96/60, pulse 43-73 AVERAGE 54, hgb l3 hmt 39,

ferritin 40, INR 3.7, platelets in the normal range,

Transferrin Saturation 35%.

I found this group whilst doing a search on google last year for anything

and everything on AF. This was after having AF for 20 years and living with

it with no problems for about 18 years. The final years when I was put on

what I call the heavy duty drugs (antiarhythmics) became unbearable and I

decided it was time for me to manage my own AF as everything the cardio told

me did not fit with my experience.

I am so glad I did

Thanks

Fran
