Guest guest
Hi Sally, I will keep you in my prayers while you contemplate your options. I do suggest that you get as many professional opinions as you can before you make your decision. Out of curiousity, why would you lean toward FSR instead of surgery? I just got off the phone with Dr. Brackmans surgery consultant to set up my sons next AN surgery, so your e-mail really hit me. I am more nervous this time than the first . I think it's because I know a whole lot more now than I did then, which was only 8 mos. ago. I wish I didn't have to make any decisions at all. Like you, I'm concerned about preserving his facial nerve, as well as his hearing. I hope you get all the info you need to make the right decision. Hope to talk to you soon. Guest guest
Hi Diane, You would be more than welcome to contact me personally or over the Crew, that way is fine too. My e-mail is GospelBlessings@.... I thought since my tumor on the right side keeps growing (have had two surgeries) that it would be a good idea to have radiation. But I am concerned if it is at the height of 3.5 cm that would need to be taken out. My doc won't respond on how much tumor he has taken out (he tells me he left 'a drop, from 1988 and 1994 surgeries). I think they get tired of repeating themselves over and over again which I think it awful. I need to ask my doctor (who ever it will end up being), if it would be wise to have radiation now and surgery later. See, I am heading into my senior year at Columbia College in Chicago. I am 30-years-old, I want to move out of my apartment with my son and buy a house ---- all that fun stuff. I don't know if I am compromising my health, or pushing onward and forward?? You're right, knowing more and more now is heart wrenching, I am sure you feel so much for your son. I am having the most terrible time now that I am on summer time (more time to research) as I come across more and more options/doctors/information, because I've learned through the Crew it is 'the luck of the draw'. I of course want to be there for my son for a long time! Not just there for him, but able to go to all his sport activities, smile and talk iwth his friends there parents, help with school such and such --- you guys know the drill. Please contact me more, I appreciate your prayers so much. I pray for your son too. Love and blessings, Sally
