Guest guest
A clever little analogy for vous: it occurs to me that going through life with the " tool kit " of the twelve steps and build a life on them is like being a carpenter trying to build a house and you have the following tools: a saw with no teeth, a hammer made out of tissue paper, nails with heads at both ends, etc. With an extraordinary amount of work you may be able to assemble something vaguely ressembling a house (or not!)(NOT!Aargh!). It occurs to me then that I WAS missing some lifeskills as it were before I got to AA/NA and that I am still missing them and so I need to put myself together a new " toolkit " , as it were. Voila! Zat eez my cloyingly quaint and yet valid analogy!
