Guest guest
Hi Thank you for your comments on the clonaz problems. I'm so sorry to hear that Esther is having such a hard time with the clonaz wean. It is a rotten drug and, while I am prepared to accept that Hannah may need some medication, I certainly hope she doesn't need clonaz. Currently she has 0.5mg AM and PM, and she has used it since she was about 14 weeks old (now 4y7m), so I am not surprised at the difficulties we are facing, assuming they are due to the clonaz wean. But I cant help thinking that maybe this was going to happen anyway and that perhaps its got nothing to do with meds. I find it hard to believe that the loss of control she is exhibiting now can be due to a dose drop back in June, but who really knows??? I too have had crazy thoughts of increasing the clonaz, but would most likely choose topamax increase instead, and only if really pushed to the wall. Tonight I was really wondering what to do when poor Hannah had 4 tonic clonics inside of an hour, all under 1.5 minutes, but awful none-the-less. She goes quite pale and is distressed after some, but we still have 8 minutes on our side before PR valium is needed. Yesterday she had no tonic clonics and partials were at " normal " levels. So tired of trying to figure this all out. I hope that Esther gets through the next few days without too many seizures, and that she will soon be rid of the side effects of the drug and the wean. My heart breaks for our kids and for all the others on this drug merry-go-round. Take care (Hannah's mum, Australia)
