IHO has been a leader in promoting international discourse on the AIDS pandemic

in the Indian Subcontinent since 1992. This conference will present perspectives

on the status and impact of AIDS in India, and explore strategies to strengthen

the collaboration between India and the United States in confronting this

enormous challenge. It aims to gather local, national, and international experts

from government, non-government, corporate, education, and charitable sectors.

Its goal is to develop cross-cutting strategies to fight the AIDS epidemic and

its consequences upon the social and economic fabric of India. It will provide

updates on HIV/AIDS in India, share ideas, discuss ways to replicate successful

US models of AIDS prevention in South Asia, and foster a sincere and

intellectual discussion.
