Guest guest
> I am pretty upset. I went to the RE for my baseline so I could start Repronex and my fsh is 19. It looks like I am running out of good eggs and a high fsh is linked to m/c. I am never given a break. I have to pay so much out of pocket, I have been thru so much testing and surgery and now this. I don't know if I should go on with this cylc or not. Why is this happening to me? {{{{{{}}}}}}} I don't know why things like this happen, but I am NOT giving up on you. You were just pregnant and you're young. You have endometriosis, right? Endo can screw up your FSH but it is not as bad as you might think, especially if the high FSH *is* from endo. Did you respond well to an ordinary level of stims? Well if so, then you're not quite going into ovarian failure. Those women don't respond *hardly at all* to high levels of stims. Some say that it is better to wait for a lower FSH cycle before TTC. I don't know if this applies to endo patients. Talk some more to your RE. Look around for more support. INCIID.org and similar infertility organizations have members with high FSH who know all kinds of stuff about these problems. I know it's just an anecdote, and anecdotes don't prove too much, but I know a woman from INCIID who uses the alias mich8cy who had a very high FSH and all kinds of other problems, including end-stage endo and tubal problems. I figured she'd never get pregnant since she'd done umpteen IUIs with no result. Well she did, and she's weeks away from delivering a normal girl. I remember her from when I was posting in the " Pregnant, Due in April " board at INCIID. She's still there, and still pregnant. And I know others who " flunked " the clomid challenge test (another measure of FSH) who got pregnant and had kids anyhow. One of them had a baby about 3 weeks ago after an RE told her she'd never. So have a cry, get some of it out of your system, and don't give up yet. Please? Beth SU

Guest guest
Beth, I responed very well to the Repronex when I got preg last time. I did 2 amps a day, I had 12 follicles and 4 were dominant. I did have stage one endo, but that was removed last month. The RE said he didn't feel it was too high to cancel this cycle and he said that the Repronex may even help the negative fsh, but I am just freaking out and I don't have a good feeling and that is probably no way to be going into a cycle. I don't want to cancel the cycle because I am probably more fertile now then ever since I just had the lap. Thanks for your response, you ALWAYS make me feel better. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . I'm sorry . . . I don't know. Good research question :-) If your own RE doesn't know, some of the REs who answer questions on INCIID can help. Start with the " General INfertility " board. Dr. Roseff is helpful. Beth SU

I don't want to cancel the cycle because I am probably more fertile now then ever since I just had the lap. Well, keep at it, then. This should be made into some kind of law of fertility: " the crappiest-looking cycles hold the most surprises. " Many a smiling, peeing, pooping baby came from a rotten-looking cycle. Just today I mailed off a patchwork baby quilt to " Sammy T " in Washington. His mom's RE called him a " crappy embryo " because he was looking kind of scruffy. She had ovarian endometriosis, stage three, and was trying to come to terms with never giving birth to a child . . . and now she has Sammy T, who is the cutest former crappy embryo I've ever seen.
